Review by hotel critic
My stay at Appia Antica Cottage was truly a hidden gem. Andrea and Federica welcomed us with open arms, offering a warm welcome drink and sharing stories that made us feel right at home. Their attention to detail and care made our experience unforgettable. The tranquil garden setting with a pool was a haven of relaxation, complemented by the adorable presence of their friendly dogs. The proximity to the historic Appian Way made exploring the area a breeze, while the convenience of local amenities and easy access to Rome city center made it a perfect blend of serenity and urban adventure. The personalized touches didn't end there - from the homemade tiramisu after a long day of sightseeing to the offer of a lift to the metro station, Andrea and Federica's hospitality went above and beyond. The tastefully decorated rooms, equipped with all modern amenities including a private bathroom and free WiFi, felt like a luxurious retreat after a day of exploring cultural highlights like Trevi Fountain and Vatican Museums. The thoughtful details like bathrobes, complimentary toiletries, and a coffee machine added a touch of comfort that made our stay even more special. The convenient roundtrip airport shuttle service and the option to arrange tours/tickets through the hosts made our travel experience seamless and stress-free. The peaceful setting in the heart of Rome's 9th quarter, with a seasonal pool opening in June, created the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. Appia Antica Cottage not only exceeded my expectations but also left me with lasting memories of a truly magical stay. Grazie mille, Andrea and Federica, for a delightful experience that I will cherish forever.
